VNTune Pro FAQ

Who is VNTune Pro designed for?

VNTune Pro is a professional-grade vagus nerve stimulation device designed for physicians, neuroscience specialists, researchers and educators. It combines comprehensive parameter settings, a full electrode accessory set and TuneFlo app connectivity.

How is VNTune Pro different from other VNTune models?

VNTune Pro is designed specifically for professional users. It provides full control over its configurable stimulation parameters, including frequency, pulse width, intensity, output pattern and session duration. Its comprehensive electrode accessories and professional-focused controls in TuneFlo support a broad range of professional applications and setups.

Which stimulation parameters can I adjust on VNTune Pro?

VNTune Pro offers adjustable frequency from 1–1000 Hz and pulse width from 50–500 microseconds. You can also adjust intensity, session duration and output patterns, including continuous, intermittent and modulation. These ranges describe the device’s capabilities; settings should be selected according to the product instructions and intended application.

Can I save my own stimulation settings on VNTune Pro?

Yes. VNTune Pro can save three custom parameter presets directly on the device. Connecting to TuneFlo lets you save additional custom parameter combinations, such as your selected frequency and pulse width, for convenient reuse.

Which accessories are included with VNTune Pro?

VNTune Pro includes a comprehensive set of vagus nerve electrode accessories: in-ear electrodes, double-sided ear-clip electrodes and self-adhesive electrode pads. A soft carry case is also included for storing and transporting the device and accessories. These different electrode formats give professional users flexibility to select the setup described in the instructions for their intended application.

Can VNTune Pro be used for both ear and neck stimulation?

Yes. VNTune Pro supports ear and neck applications when used with the appropriate electrodes and accessories. Follow the placement and connection instructions for each application. The availability of both options does not mean that every electrode is suitable for every position or that both sites should be stimulated simultaneously.

Does VNTune Pro use current control or percentage intensity settings?

VNTune Pro uses current-controlled output, with a maximum output current of 15 mA. It offers both an mA-based current setting mode and a percentage-based intensity setting mode. The maximum output is a device specification, not a recommended intensity for every user or application.

Which app does VNTune Pro use?

VNTune Pro connects to TuneFlo. Its professional-focused controls allow convenient configuration and customization of stimulation parameters, including saving additional custom parameter combinations. TuneFlo currently supports iOS. Android support is planned for release by the end of 2026.

Can I operate VNTune Pro without a phone?

Yes. VNTune Pro has a 2.0-inch color display, a control knob and menu navigation for direct operation. You can adjust settings and access the three custom presets stored on the device without a phone. Connecting to TuneFlo provides additional convenience and more saved custom parameter combinations.

Which accessories will the 3.5 mm expansion port support?

The 3.5 mm expansion port on VNTune Pro units shipped from November 2026 onward will support a vibration stimulation head, a heart rate variability (HRV) measurement probe and a synchronization signal output cable for scientific research. Each accessory can be purchased separately after it is released.
